Design and architecture

From classic Danish furniture to a ski slope on a power plant: a century of creativity in one day.

From Klint to BIG

  1. Designmuseum Danmark — 1 h 30. The story of Danish design, from Kaare Klint to Verner Panton, in a former 18th-century hospital.
  2. The Black Diamond — 40 min. The extension of the Royal Library: a block of polished black granite on the harbourfront, open to all and free.
  3. CopenHill — 1 h 15. A waste-to-energy plant designed by BIG, with a ski slope on the roof and a café terrace.
  4. Superkilen — 30 min. A three-colour urban park designed by BIG, Topotek1 and Superflex, with furniture from all over the world.
Please noteCopenHill and Superkilen are far from the centre: this day lends itself well to cycling.
