What Not To Miss
Nyhavn
The old harbour with its colourful façades: the image of Copenhagen everyone has already seen, and which you should still go and see.
Rosenborg Castle
Christian IV’s Renaissance castle, an intimate setting for the Danish crown jewels.
Louisiana
One of the world’s most beautiful modern art museums, opening onto its sculpture park and the sea.
Church of Our Saviour
A twisted black and gold spire whose final stretch you climb on the outside, high above Christianshavn.
Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek
Ancient sculpture, French Impressionists and a winter garden under a glass dome: the most charming museum in the city.
Tivoli Gardens
An amusement park and pleasure garden since 1843, in the heart of the city. It is best enjoyed at nightfall.
Good To Know This Winter

The medieval heart: narrow streets, castles and major museums, all within walking distance.
Frederiksstaden
The 18th-century royal quarter, with its wide straight streets and its old harbour.
Christianshavn
A little Amsterdam founded by Christian IV, with its canals, its twisted church spire, and Christiania.
Vesterbro
Around the station: Tivoli, Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek, then the Meatpacking District and its restaurants.
Nørrebro
The most cosmopolitan neighbourhood: the cafés of Jægersborggade, Superkilen and Assistens Cemetery.
